North Dakota single-trip oversize permit fee

$20 + $10

Source: NDHP Policy 9-6 — Permits for oversize and overweight vehicles

Effective date: Policy 9-6 (11/21/2025); 2026 MC Policies handout 3.26.

That is the North Dakota single-trip permit plus the printed service/routing fee for one one-way movement within a five-day period. When GVW is over 150,000 pounds, the graduated table replaces the $20.

Policy 9-6 §5: “a. $20 for each single trip permit (SFN 3507, Receipt/Permit) except for loads in excess of 150,000 pounds or overweight self-propelled special mobile equipment. b. Graduated fee schedule for each single trip permit (SFN 3507, Receipt/Permit) exceeding 150,000 pounds gross vehicle weight … g. $10 service/routing fee for each single trip permit.”

Gross vehicle weight Permit fee
Through 150,000 lb (general single trip)$20
150,001 – 160,000 pounds$30
160,001 – 170,000 pounds$40
170,001 – 180,000 pounds$50
180,001 – 190,000 pounds$60
190,001 pounds and over$70
190,001 pounds and over$70

The policy table prints “190,001 pounds and over $70” twice. We are not silently deleting the second line.

The same policy prints $10 service/routing on every single-trip. NDHP e-permits prints a different routing number on at least one product: “The price of a single trip permit is $20 plus an $8 service routing fee” (overdimensional / mobile-home single-trip). The general Oversize/Overweight-Single Trip page prints no price. We are posting Policy 9-6 $20 + $10. We are not replacing $10 with $8, and we are not deleting the $8 line.

“$5 faxing fee” is checkout, not the permit fee.

This page covers general single-trip permits. Ton-mile over 200,000 lb and load-restriction ton-miles are extras, not the general headline. Interstate, 129,000 primary-network, and special-mobile-equipment $25 are separate products.

When this number took effect

Policy 9-6 prints Ref: 9-6 (11/21/2025). The handout filename is 2026 MC Policies 3.26. We are not inventing a different date.

Checked 2026-08-21 (PT) against the official NDHP Policy 9-6 snapshot.
