$60

Proposed 601 KAR 1:018 REG prints $120. We are posting the live FAQ $60, not the proposal.

Effective date: Kentucky does not print one. We are not inventing one.

That is the Kentucky single-trip permit fee for one movement, from one origin to one destination. The live desk FAQ prints $60. A Single Trip permit is valid for 10 days.

Official FAQ: “How much is a single trip permit? A Single Trip permit cost $60. There is an applicable service fee of 4% for credit card or a $3 ACH fee.”

The live FAQ and the proposed regulation do not match. Proposed 601 KAR 1:018 REG prints “Single trip shall cost $120.” The same REG page still has “A payment of sixty (60) dollars pursuant to KRS 189.270(2).” Regulatory impact language calls this a “proposed fee increase.” We are not replacing the posted $60 with the proposal.

The 4% credit-card service fee and the $3 ACH fee are checkout, not the permit fee.

This page covers general single-trip permits. Metal-commodities single trip is a separate $100 permit.

When this number took effect

The KYTC FAQ does not print an effective date for these fees. We are not inventing one.

Checked 2026-08-21 (PT) against the official KYTC FAQ snapshot.
